Here at Old Water View, we understand that you want to be able to relax in comfort at the end of a busy day, whether you have been walking, sight seeing or simply enjoying the special scenery of the Lakes.

We have a large and comfortable lounge, which is exclusively for the use of our guests.  With a real log fire, plenty of seating, a TV and video recorder and a wide range of maps, guides and information. Where better to sit and plan your next day’s activities or chat to our other guests whilst enjoying some well earned refreshment.

After a comfortable nights sleep, we’ll set you up for the day ahead with a traditional “Lakeland” breakfast, served in our pine furnished Breakfast Room which overlooks Goldrill Beck.  You will often see our red squirrels scampering round the trees as you enjoy your meal.

We also have a large Garden through which the River (Goldrill Beck) flows on its way to lake Ullswater. Both the garden and its facilities, as well as the river access are available for the use of our guests.
