Introduction to Digital Photography  2 day course

Aim of the course:

Unlike other digital photography courses, which tend to be totally classroom based, this course will teach you everything you need to know to make good use of your digital camera.  It combines an outdoor photography session, walking to some of the best viewpoints in the area, with instruction in using computers to manipulate, improve, email and print the photographs.

The course will cover:

Most of the first day will be spent on a guided walk and you will have the opportunity to photograph mountains, rivers, lakes and places of interest.  You will be shown how to adjust the settings on your camera if necessary.  There will be time at the end of the day to download your photographs to a computer to view them on the screen.

From Saint Sunday Crag

Price: £135.00 per person

Accommodation includes:

The second day will begin by introducing you to the program Paint Shop Pro, showing you how to use this to improve your photographs. Techniques such as sharpening, filtering, cropping and masking will all be covered and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask your own questions. Part of the day will be spent outside, perhaps revisiting some of the photo locations from the first day to photograph in different light conditions.  The final session of the day will show you how to prepare your photos for email and printing.
